Sh2-134 Region

Emission & Dark Nebulae, Cepheus

November 2023. Cave Creek Canyon Observatory, Arizona Sky Village

East of IC 1396 (right side of the image), in the constellation of Cepheus, lies an assortment of several different kind of object. The complex field is dominated by Sharpless 134 (Sh2-134), an emission nebula, but also contains several dark nebulae and other areas of emission nebulae.
