Barnard 20

Dark Nebula, Perseus

December 2025. Cave Creek Canyon Observatory, Arizona Sky Village

Barnard 20 is a dark nebula in the constellation Perseus, located in the northwest corner of this constellation. The main identifying part is centered with associated matter covering most of the field of view. Sharpless 2-211 (Sh2-211 or LBN 717) and NGC 1624 (Sh2-212 or LBN 722) are the red colored HII regions also visible.
