Lynd’s Bright Nebula 691 (also known as LBN 691) is an HII region in the constellation Ursa Major.
The Northern constellation of Ursa Major is well known due to it’s distinctive shape in the night sky. Within Ursa Major are extensive Molecular Clouds, vast regions of faint galactic cirrus or dust. Long exposures reveal the intricate structures within these. This image shows the detailed structure within LBN 691.
