Lynds Bright Nebula 728 & 729 (LBN 728 & LBN 729) are Emission Nebulae in the constellation Ursa Major where it borders with Lynx & Camelopardalis. LBN 723, LBN 727, LBN 732 & LBN 733 form the prominant structure on the right, which are part of Camelopardalis.
Lynds’ Catalogue of Bright Nebulae (abbreviation: LBN) is an astronomical catalogue of bright nebulae. Objects listed in the catalogue are numbered with the prefix LBN (not to be confused with LDN, or Lynds’ Catalogue of Dark Nebulae), It was originally compiled in 1962 by American astronomer Beverly Turner Lynds.
